Successes

Since our last meeting, my biggest successes have been the amount of facilitation I’ve been able to complete; especially using the ORID framework. So far, I’ve facilitated a total of 5 hours and 30 minutes.
On November 7th, I led a 2-hour session with our Emerging Team Leader (ELC) group and closed that session with an ORID. On November 11th, I co-facilitated a 3-hour New Team Leader Training with Nate Harris, where I led two ORIDs, one in the middle of the session and one at the end. That same day, I also facilitated an ORID with the Program Managers I work directly with. Most recently, on November 18th, I facilitated another ORID with my Program Managers at the end of our Master Class meeting.
Overall, my biggest success has been my growth in confidently leading and facilitating ORIDs consistently across different groups since our last meeting.

Challenges

One of the main challenges I’ve experienced is that the ORIDs haven’t felt completely natural yet. In several sessions, it seemed like participants were responding more out of obligation than genuine engagement. This made the discussions feel a bit forced at times. I’m still working on finding my own rhythm with the ORID structure and creating an environment where the conversations flow more naturally and participants feel comfortable offering authentic responses.

Session Focus

In our next session, I’d like to focus on strengthening my facilitation skills so ORIDs feel more natural and engaging for participants.
